Rob Rees MBE is one of the UK's leading chefs and consultants dedicated to creating a better food culture for Britain. He balances his work as a social entrepreneur with being a campaigner, demonstrator, food columnist, writer, consultant and chef. A true food hero for Great Britain and someone that always goes the extra mile.

Rob has actively campaigned on education, public health and consumer issues for many years. Alongside Jamie Oliver he has has been the driving force for improvements in school food as Chairman of the Childrens Food Trust. He represents patients and public on the board of NHS Gloucestershires GP Clinical Commissioning Board and is passionate about his country and locality as a former Board Member of Visit England and currently Chairman of Cotswold Tourism for the Gloucestershire LEP.

Rob operates his company as a community interest company that is not for profit and established The Wiggly Worm Charity that changes the lives of the most vulnerable in society. His focus is always glass half full and his attitude has helped make Star Bistro and other projects inspirations to all.

Rob is often featured in local, regional and national media commenting on food and health related matters and for many years, in particular with Visit Britain and others, has had a role in promoting the UK and it's food culture throughout the globe.

In January 2006, Rob Rees was awarded an MBE for “Services to the Food Industry”
